1 - Entangled Pasts, 1768 – now: Art, Colonialism and Change

This ambitious exhibition brings together over 100 major contemporary and historic artworks as part of a conversation about art and its role in shaping narratives around empire, enslavement, and colonialism. The exhibition engages over 50 artists connected to the RA, which was founded in 1768. www.royalacademy.org
2 - Salone del Mobile.Milano
16–21 April
Milan, Italy
Returning for the 2024 edition, one of the world’s biggest furniture and design events will once again be leading on environmental, economic and social responsibilities. Organisers are ‘reconfirming the good practices’ that saw it achieve ISO 2012 sustainable events management certification in 2023, with plans in place for Salone to further drive the ‘responsible revolution’. www.salonemilano.it
3 - Tsuyoshi Tane: The Garden House

This exhibition is dedicated to the recently constructed Tane Garden House on the Vitra Campus, which was conceived by its architect, Tsuyoshi Tane. On display are his study models, architectural mock-ups and drawings of the building, along with impressions of the close collaboration with local artisans. www.design-museum.de
4 - National Treasures

Forming part of the Gallery’s Bicentenary year, 12 museums and galleries, in each nation of the UK and each region of England, will receive a treasured painting from the National Gallery’s collection. Each artwork will include programmed exhibitions and events, with a chance to see an artwork masterpiece – from the likes of Turner, Renoir, Monet, Botticelli, among others – in some alternate UK locations. www.nationalgallery.org.uk

A major retrospective of Enzo Mari comes to the Design Museum bringing together hundreds of his projects, from furniture and children’s books and games, to more conceptual installation-based works.
